Milestone

23 months, 1 week, 3 days

And I finally turned his car seat forward facing! I am a car seat junkie and am generally a little obsessed about using them correctly. M has been close to the limits of his seat for awhile now and I was waiting until after his 2nd birthday to switch him. That is until I got an e-mail for a free car seat check this week! So we turned his seat around so we could install the infant seat and get them both checked at the same time :) I am 99.8% sure I installed them right, but I like the reassurance of having a certified car seat tech double check! If you have little bitty kids, I highly recommend having a tech teach you how to use a car seat correctly. Ok, off my soap box now...

Just another example of how he is less a baby every day and more a little man.

little sicky

Little man is sick. He is all feverish and completely zapped and has insisted on napping and hanging out on the couch all day. He greeted me this morning by moaning no mommy and puking on me. Good times. It has been an unexpected break from the normal non stop toddler action our house endures.

I was reading a friends blog yesterday and was so excited to read about big changes going on with her family that I spilled cream soda all in my keyboard. I cleaned it up, however, some soda got trapped under the enter button and now it hardly works. I guess I will just order a new computer :) I am sure there is a thrifty or more reasonable solution, but man I want a new computer. This one is from my first year of college and folks, thats been awhile!

Baby no name is well. Judging from all the bladder kicking and lung jabbing, he or she is also quite the athlete and or bully. We are still at a stalemate on names, particularly boy names. My dear husband is a fan of Gideon (!!!!), Elijah, and JonAS. I am not. I am not a fan of any name that ends in ASS..... Of course, I am not a fan of our 22 month old's name either, I just caved about 2 days before he was born because I NEEDED to have a name to call him. More precisely, I needed to finish all the nursery decorations :)

Help Name Baby Duo

Ok, we need HELP! We are having the hardest time coming up with names this time around. We are at a bit of a stalemate because Sam wants really weird names and allthough I am ok with uncommon, I do not want my kids to be teased mercilessly for being named Melchizedek. Yeah. No little Mel or Zedek. These are the naming rules or guidelines....

For a boy:
1. Must be Biblical. It's a tradition on both sides of our family.
2. Can't start with M
3. The middle name can be anything....
4. Our last names starts with H so the initials can't spell anything bad or any common illegal drug.
5. Just to make it super challenging, Daniel, David, Jonathan, Matthew, Paul, Luke, Timothy, Samuel, Benjamin, John, Mark, Adam and Thomas are all out because someone in the family is all ready named them.

For a Girl:
1. Has to be feminine, no unisex names like Taylor, Micah, ect.
2. Bonus points for it being German or Scandinavian, ie Astrid... although since thats says ASS at the beginning it won't work.
3. Middle name can be anything.
4. Again no initials that would spawn name calling....

Right now the only boy name we have is Ox. Dead serious. Sam refuses to acknowledge any of my suggestions so I told him we are going with Ox because it is biblical and manly.

I should think of a prize.....
